Dr Saul Humphrey is Director for the RG Carter Construction Groups’ parent company R G Carter Construction Limited, and he is a member of the Group’s Construction Executive Board.
Saul has a Doctorate in Construction Procurement (PhD awarded from Loughborough University) and Masters Degree in Construction Management (MSc awarded with distinction from Heriot-Watt University).
He is a corporate fellow and professional assessor for the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB) and a Chartered Construction Manager and he represents the CIOB with the Construction Industry Council (CIC). Saul is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). He is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), a Qualified Adjudicator, a Board Member of the East of England Division of Constructing Excellence, a Committee Member and Fellow of the Forum for the Built Environment (formerly the Faculty of Building), a Committee Member of Essex Youthbuild and he is the East of England past President, and past National Director, of the National Federation of Builders (NFB).
Saul is a Board Member of the University of East Anglia (External Advisory Board). He is a member of the Industry Liaison Group for Norwich University of the Arts and also for Cambridge University (IDBE). He has also been invited to join the Board of Adapt, the low carbon group at UEA and the Centre for the Built Environment at NRP.
Saul is the Chairman of Building Growth, the construction and property development sector of the New Anglia LEP and he is personally sponsoring the sector group’s response to skills shortages in the construction industry.
