40 under 40

One current IDBE student and one of our graduates were amongst those selected as recipients of Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine’s 2014 '40 Under 40' award. Congratulations to Joshua Cushner, Associate Principal and acoustic consultant in Arup’s San Francisco office and to Karin Giefer, Associate and sustainability consultant in Arup’s New York office.

Candidates were nominated by a professional colleague or mentor and judged based on nine areas including their commitment to excellence in their academic, professional, personal, and community lives.

This award is given to 40 building industry professionals age 40 and younger who stand out in all aspects of their lives.

"Now in its seventh year, the competition has increased in exposure, and the caliber of nominees has risen to an even higher level. Each winner truly deserves this recognition."

—Amara Rozgus, Editor-in-Chief of Consulting-Specifying Engineer.
