Sustainability Leadership for the Built Environment (IDBE)

Part-time Master's and Postgraduate Certificate courses from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership

In 2013 Eleanor completed a PhD entitled ‘An Approach to Support the Development of Manufacturable Façade Designs’ which investigated opportunities in the design phase of a building project to reduce manufacturing costs of complex façades.

Eleanor’s research interests include: mapping current industry processes to understand the context of research and identify opportunities to improve design development; applying BIM and Expert-Knowledge Systems within the construction industry; and developing and testing design tools intended to support industry practices.

Eleanor is also an Associate in an innovative design engineering firm and as a HEA Associate Practitioner Eleanor is a supervisor within both the Engineering and Architecture Departments at Cambridge.

Dr Eleanor Voss’ research focuses on generating and realising benefits of Building Information Modelling.
